UBC Okanagan students had their best showing yet at the latest Putnam Mathematical Competition, the most prestigious undergraduate mathematics competition in North America.
The competition, which takes place every year in early December, featured 4,320 participants from 431 post-secondary institutions. The results for the competition were released in April and three of the seven students who participated placed in the top 25th percentile.
Congratulations to Kangwei Chen, who achieved the highest score for UBC Okanagan. Students Sheng Qiu, Yasha Pushak and Joel Therrien also placed well.
