What: Student Move-in Day
Who: 1,900 students moving into residences, UBCO Heat student-athletes and staff volunteers

Where: UBC’s Okanagan campus
Media are invited to attend UBC Okanagan’s annual student residence Move-in Day on Wednesday, September 2. The university is expecting to welcome over 1,900 students into campus housing on Wednesday.
UBCO Heat Athletes and staff volunteers will be on hand to help students move, settle in and find their way around campus during the highly choreographed process.
To help with wayfinding, a tethered hot air balloon will fly 100 feet above Parking Lot H, where students check in and collect their room keys. Members of the public are discouraged from coming to H-Lot to view the balloon as added traffic could disrupt the move-in process.
