“We were very pleased with the outcomes of the training program Pinnacle provided last year”, says Rob Johnson, Athletic Director at UBC O. “With the progression of our program into the Canada West conference of the CIS we need to continue to train our student athletes with the research-based, leading edge training techniques that Pinnacle can provide.”
“The training at Pinnacle was amazing; having an individual workout program to fit your needs and goals was awesome. When volleyball started again last September, it was the first season in four years that my body wasn’t sore from head to toe after the first week. I feel that just doing regular workouts on my own isn’t enough anymore and Pinnacle provides us with basically the ultimate plan to prepare us for the upcoming season.” added Caitlin Nyhus the captain of the two time national champion Heat women’s volleyball program.
Steve Morrison a third year player on the men’s basketball team agrees with Caitlin adding “Pinnacle doesn't just make sure I continuously work out but that I work on what I need for my specific sport. I don't only feel stronger when I work out with Pinnacle I feel more athletic. Their programs are great because they are always keeping it up-to-date and by making the exercises harder will continually challenge my muscles to adapt to the new workouts.”
Pinnacle has been providing individualized, sport specific programs to developing and elite athletes in the Okanagan for the past four years in their dedicated facility within the CNC. “ We have trained athletes from CCAA, CIS, NCAA, BCHL, WHL, and professional leagues including the NHL for the last few years, concentrating on using the best available techniques to help athletes develop to their full potential”, states Shane Pizzey, Pinnacle’s Director of Sport Science. “We are really excited to continue to work with UBC O and their coaches as they embark on the transition to CIS competition. UBC O has an excellent athletics program, and are constantly striving to be the best in Canada” he adds.
