Four players in double figures still didn't prove to be enough as the visiting Heat (10-5) fell short once again to the home town Mariners (12-3), 69-63.
Opposite from the night before, VIU jumped out to a 23-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. By half time they had increased the lead by one to 39-25.
The third quarter ignited the fire from within the Heat, outscoring the mariners 21-11. Unfortunately VIU had the right ingredient to douse the mighty flame as the Heat fell short once again, 69-63.
Roz Huber and Laura Campbell had a team high 14 points, while Roz added 13 rebounds. Madison Kaneda had 13 points while Ashley Briker finished with 12. Jenna Kantz finished with 10 assists.
