Bearcats take down Royals in straight sets, advance to Provincial Final

The Columbia Bible College Bearcats came out strong right from the get go and never looked back as they took down the Douglas College Royals in straight sets (25-21, 25-18, 26-24).

Douglas College veteran setter Kaleb Dawe received Player of the Match honours for the Royals, amassing 33 assists and contributing 3 hits. Colombia Bible College 2nd year setter Jason Warkentin received Player of the Match honours for the Bearcats, chipping in 28 assists for his team. Matt Kaminski and Will Quiring added 13 and 12 kills respectively for the Bearcats, while Jeff Taylor and Matt Lieuwen contributed 15 and 10 kills respectively for the Royals.

The Bearcats go on to the provincial finals Saturday at 8 PM to play the winner of the UBC Heat and VIU Mariners matchup, while the Royals head for the bronze medal matchup Saturday at 3 PM to play the loser of the Heat/Mariners matchup.
