What's happening in Heat athletics this weekend.

November 18-19

Although no varsity events will take place on campus this weekend, the Heat basketball teams will continue their season on the road this Friday and Saturday while the volleyball teams will have a much needed scheduled week off from competition.

Basketball (Men’s and Women’s)
This weekend the basketball teams will travel to the lower mainland for their first Pacific Division matchups in Canada West as they play the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades at the Envision Athletic Centre in Abbotsford, BC. The games will be Friday at 6 p.m. for the women and 8 p.m. for the men. For Canada West basketball all games played within the Pacific division will be of the double-header format, so the Heat will square off against the Cascades again on Saturday in Abbotsford with the women tipping off at 5 p.m. and the men at 7 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball (National Rankings)
The team lost two games in a row over the weekend to the number three ranked Manitoba Bisons yet the team has moved up one spot in the national rankings, and as of the CIS Top Ten Tuesday the UBC Okanagan Heat men’s volleyball team is now the ninth ranked team in the nation.

Volleyball (Men’s and Women’s)
Scheduled bye week - will resume play Nov. 25-26 in Langley versus Trinity Western University.
