KELOWNA, BC - The UBC Okanagan Heat shot a season high 54.3 percent from the field en route to their third win on the season when they dropped the Thompson Rivers WolfPack 93-71 Sunday night at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
Simon Pelland, playing in his final game for the Heat, was second on the team in scoring with 16 points and led the team in rebounding with eight. Yassine Ghomari led UBC Okanagan in scoring with 25, while Bret Macdonald and Mack Roth each chipped in 14. The Heat hit nine threes on the night, tying their season high and raising $450 for KidSport BC.
In his final game for the WolfPack, Chas Kok led his team in scoring and rebounding with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Justin King added 19 points. Kevin Pribilsky and Zach Usherwood both contributed nine.
Both teams have finished their seasons, the WolfPack setting a new franchise high in wins with their 6-12 campaign. The first Canada West year for UBC Okanagan had them play to a 3-15 record.
