The Sunday soccer match saw Claire Paterson and her staff go shoeless to raise awareness and funds for Right To Play, an international organization that uses the power of sport and play to teach life skills and improve health.
Follow up from Right to play following the campaign —
The second annual Go Shoeless Campaign took place September 28th -30th at University campuses across Canada and was a huge success. Right To Play saw an overwhelming level of support from coaches and teams across the country, who fundraised and brought awareness toward children who do not have access to sports and proper sporting equipment.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to you and the 40 other coaches and athletic staff from over 21 Canadian Universities whose dedication and support made Go Shoeless such a successful campaign this year. This year Go Shoeless raised more than $ 5,000. Right To Play places a strong emphasis and value on the integral role that coaches play in sport for development and we are extremely grateful for your continued support.
