Men’s Volleyball – The 0-2 Heat will look for a better result this weekend, hosting a 1-1 Cougars squad on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at UBC’s Okanagan campus Gymnasium.
The Cougars opened up their 2013-2014 Canada West campaign with a win and a loss versus the Calgary Dinos. Like their female counterparts, the men were able to secure their first victory on home court, downing the Dinos in a five-set marathon 3-2. However, Calgary was able to defend Jack Simpson Arena the following evening, needing five to defeat Mount Royal 3-2.
Thompson Rivers was able to knock off the Heat twice in the opening weekend series for UBC Okanagan. On Friday evening at UBC’s Okanagan campus Gymnasium, the WolfPack were able to storm back in sets to defeat the Heat 3-0, and the Heat were unable to disband the ‘Pack in Kamloops the following evening in a 3-1 loss.
Heat versus Royals is set for Saturday, November 2nd, and Sunday, November 3rd at UBC’s Okanagan campus Gymnasium, with both games scheduled for 3 p.m.
