Four UBC Okanagan Heat student athletes joined local media and sports personality, Ryan Watters, on his Okanagan Sports Network ‘Team’ as participants in a Heart and Stroke Foundation fundraiser called appropriately ‘The Big Bike’.
On Thursday (May 22) just before noon, Michael Lee (Golf), Kailin Jones (Volleyball), Sarah Allison (Basketball), & Cam Friesen (Basketball) represented their Heat teams and their university on the fundraising ride that did two laps on the 29 seat bike around downtown Kelowna.
