CHILLIWACK, BC – For the second straight year Heat golfer Carolyn Lee has found herself as an All-Canadian, the third year golfer was honoured for her season at the awards banquet on the eve of the national 2015 PING CCAA golf national championships at the Chilliwack Golf Club.

Student-athletes are selected as an All-Canadian based on their performance and their contribution to their sport and their team, and science major Carolyn Lee was among the 10 golfers across the nation to receive the award.
Lee won the award based on leading her team to a provincial championship and earning herself a PACWEST provincial all-star finishing second overall on the women's golf tour. Carolyn had a great year winning two tournaments this past fall, 50-percent of the tournament she entered. In the other two tournaments Lee finished third and fourth, and she also posted the two lowest rounds in the league when she shot a 76 on both days of PACWEST Tournament #3. She has now won three of the 11 tournaments (27%) entered as a golfer for UBC Okanagan.
Carolyn exemplifies the term student-athlete as she aces her classes as well as holes on the links, she has been a CCAA National scholar in her both her years eligible, was an Academic All-Canadian last year and at UBC Okanagan as a student athlete was the winner of the UBC Okanagan Female Provost Award for Excellence, also a UBC Okanagan Heat Scholar-Athlete. A nominee for Female Student athlete of the year and Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year.
The Biology major hopes to one day pursue a career in medicine and her study and work habits in the class room translate directly to her effort on the Links, the Calgary native routinely shows up one and half hours before her tee-off time to work on her game before playing a round.
Teeing off on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Chilliwack on the first day Carolyn will try and get her team a second straight national medal after the Heat nabbed third last year in Quebec. Lee also was the an individual medalist with the third lowest score at the 2014 PING CCAA golf national championship.
