PREVIEW: Battle of (17-1) teams in Langley
The UBC Okanagan women's volleyball team are on the road in a first place showdown. Friday and Saturday nights in Langley the (17-1) Heat take on the (17-1) Trinity Western Spartans. These teams are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the country and begin the series on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
PREVIEW: Road trip for UBC Okanagan men's volleyball
On the road for the next two weekends the Heat will travel the Coquihalla and play a pair of matches versus the Trinity Western Spartans in Langley, BC. First serve on Friday at the LEC is Friday at 8 p.m. The series will wrap up on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Brianna Beamish selected Canada West 3rd Star of the Week
Brianna Beamish led her UBC Okanagan Heat women's volleyball team on both Friday and Saturday nights to take sweep the UBC Thunderbirds, the only CW team the Heat had yet to defeat last weekend. For her part in both wins she was honoured with a Canada West athlete of the week.

In spite of sweeping away the No. 7 UBC Thunderbirds the UBC Okanagan women's volleyball slip to second in the national rankings with Trinity Western. Which sets up an exciting matchup this weekend in Langley on Friday and Saturday. Basketball will host UFV.
This Week in UBC Okanagan Athletics (Feb 5 - Feb 6)
Heat basketball this Friday and Saturday on the 'Furnace's' hardwood. Friday night is KidSport night. Action starts at 6 p.m. with the women's game versus UFV. Volleyball is at Trinity Western where the Heat women's volleyball will be in a first place showdown.
