Video profiles on Royal Visit Student Greeters

screenshot-2016-09-26-20-37During Tuesday's visit selected students will have the privilege and honour of meeting and interacting with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge eight of these students are varsity student athletes.

Cael Warner is a member of the men's cross country team and n his time running for the UBC Okanagan Heat has an Academic All-Canadian award and a national tournament All Star. Representing the basketball teams are Olivia Johnson and Mitch Goodwin, Olivia is a multiple recipient of an Academic All-Canadian and Mitch was named the outstanding male athlete of the year last year for UBC Okanagan. From men's volleyball Lars Bornemann also a multiple time academic All-Canadian recipient.

With a women's volleyball intra-squad scrimmage a large portion of the Duke and Duchess visit there are a number of women's volleyball players involved in the event. Team captains and fifth year seniors; Megan Festival, Kaitlynn Given, and Emily Oxland, plus Katy Klomps, who has completed her eligibility but is finishing her Bachelor of Science of Nursing degree this year.
