Heat: This week marks the fourth week of regular season games for the Heat men's basketball team. With tough competition at the Furnace in last weekends match up against MRU, the Heat will now take their efforts on the road as they will travel to Kamloops to play rival Thompson Rivers University. The two teams will begin their series Friday (Nov. 25) with a game that will begin at 8 p.m. The second game between the two teams will be played Saturday (Nov. 16) with a start time of 7 p.m. Both the games will take place at the Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops.
Current Form: With just two weekends of play until winter break the Heat are still looking to for their second win of the season. With a (93-74) and (97-68) loss to the Mount Royal Cougars the Heat now stand at a record of (1-5) and are tied with TRU in Canada West. With both teams hungry for a win, UBCO will be looking to reverse their play in Kamloops.
Key Players: Senior, Mitch Goodwin is really stepping up for the Heat as he claimed 48 points in the doubleheader against the Cougars. As one of the leading scorers for the Heat, Goodwin is shooting an impressive 41.3 percent from the field and 73.1 percent from the free throw line. Goodwin has teamed with third year Aldrich Berrios to supply most of the team's offense. Berrios is continuing to be a consistent shooter and vital asset and sports an impressive (16-41) 39 percent from beyond the arc, Berrios is fifth in U Sports for that category.
Team Stat: With their season well underway, the Heat have improved their shooting from the field to 39.1 percent. As the Heat see improvements on offence they will be looking to enhance their defence if they want to improve their record.
Overall Head to Head vs TRU : (6-6) The ‘Pack and Heat stand even in their overall head to head. The scores and results for this weekend will also count in the Presidents' Cup Challenge between the schools.

WolfPack : On Friday the Heat will play Thompson Rivers University, with only one win under their belt the Kamloops squad are a long way from the national finals tournament they made last year. With a tough rivalry both squads will be looking to improve their record this weekend as they will go head to head for the first time this year.
Current Form: The WolfPack are coming off of a (82-79) loss and a (83-52) loss to the University of Alberta. With the two losses the ‘Pack will be looking to improve their record as they will meet the Heat for the first time this year in Kamloops.
Key Players: Volodymyr Iegorov is the driving force behind the ‘Pack’s offensive line. As a 6’7 forward, Iegorov is averaging 16.3 points per game and has already accumulated 50 rebounds so far this season, putting him 9th in U Sports for that category. Following Iegorov is Joe Davis who is averaging 11 points per game and is shooting an impressive 45.8 percent from the field.
