This Week for the Heat: This week will be the last for the Heat women's volleyball team before they take their time off during the winter break. After back-to-back weekends on the road, the Heat will close out the 2016 half of this Canada West season at home, hosting the national number five Calgary Dinos. The two games are set to start at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 2, and 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, at the UBC Okanagan gymnasium in Kelowna.
Current Form: With a strong start to the season, the Heat women’s volleyball team are coming off of two straight-set wins against the University of Regina. As the team now hold a record of (7-1), and sit tied with Trinity Western and Calgary for second place in the Canada West standings. The Heat will go head to head with the University of Calgary this weekend, both will be looking to take over as lone second place team in the conference.
Key Players: Senior Megan Festival continues to grow into her leading role with the Heat, so far earning a total of 68 kills, 74 digs, and 19 service aces this season.
