The UBC Okanagan women’s volleyball team are on their home court this weekend after a weekend off. The Saskatchewan Huskies and the Heat will get underway Friday at 6 p.m. and then on Saturday at 5 p.m. Both matches at UBC Okanagan Gymnasium.

This Week for the Heat: The #9 Heat women will return to action this weekend, with a pair of games against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
Current Form: Coming off of their bye week, the UBCO women will be looking to bounce back from the pair of losses in their last matches, against the perennial title contenders in the Trinity Western Spartans. They will also look for a couple of wins to tighten their hold on a playoff spot.
Key Players: Aidan Lea continues to lead Canada West with her conference-best hitting percentage of .350, well ahead of the second-place number of .299. Siobhan Fitzpatrick leads the Heat women in kills so far this season, with 187, and is averaging 3.34 kills per set, another team best.
Team Stat: The Heat currently sit second in Canada West in kills per set, averaging 12.54. They also sit second in assists per set, averaging 11.72.

Huskies coming into this weekend: The University of Saskatchewan women currently sit ninth place in Canada West, with a conference record of 6-10. They snapped a seven-match losing streak last weekend, defeating Winnipeg 3-0.
Schedule Notes: Five of the Huskies’ six wins so far have come against teams that currently sit lower in the standings than them.
