The Heat jumped out to the early 2-1 lead, but the second-ranked team in the nation would storm back to win the final two sets and the game 3-2. Rematch is scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow night.

In their first action of 2014, the Heat made quick work of their inter-university rivals UBC in a straight-set upset victory 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-22). The rematch goes tomorrow evening from UBC's Okanagan campus gymnasium at 7 p.m.

he UBC Okanagan Heat men’s volleyball continued their preseason action with a tour of northern B.C. alongside Canada West travel partner and valley rival Thompson Rivers University this weekend. The WolfPack hosted the Heat at Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops on Thursday, travelled up to UNBC in Prince George on Friday and wrapped up their weekend in Quesnel on Saturday at Correlieu Secondary.
"Our freshmen are seeing the floor a lot due to the absence of three key players," said Heat bench boss Greg Poitras. “This experience for the young guys will help our training immensely. Definitely lots of room for improvement. We will re-evaluate again after next weekend against Trinity Western."
