Heat scoreless in first loss of season
Heat soccer visited the coast again this weekend to visit the Langara Falcons in Richmond on Saturday. The women’s team had so far not dropped a match over the first two weekends of the 2013 season, and they looked to extend that streak against the Falcons. However, Langara would ultimately prevail in a tough offensive outing for the Heat to claim the match 2-0 at Hugh Boyd Park.
“We struggled today coming out flat and Langara did well to come after us,” said Heat coach Claire Paterson postgame. “We had a better spell in the second half but it was too little too late.”
