Last Second Try Gives U of Calgary the Hindson Cup
The 2nd annual Hindson Cup was played this Saturday, October 27 at the Apple Bowl. From the opening kick off it was clear that the game was going to be a hard-hitting battle.
The University of Calgary Dino’s opened the scoring at the 15 minute mark with a 20 yard penalty kick. Soon after, Heat player James Scott replied with a penalty kick to tie the score. Later in the half, Tim Coles broke through a series of tackles to score the Heat’s lone try of the day. Tim’s individual effort and crushing tackles were especially impressive as he was playing with both a broken nose and a sprained ankle. James Scott easily converted this try and added an additional penalty kick to give the Heat a 13 – 3 lead at the half.
