CALGARY, AB – The UBC Okanagan Heat were outscored 23-13 in the third quarter, leading to a 12 point deficit that proved to be too great, as the Heat lose 73-70 to the Mount Royal Cougars on Kenyon Court Friday night in Canada West women’s basketball in Calgary.
“[We] should have completed the comeback,” commented head coach Heather Semeniuk. The Heat tied the game up and took the lead briefly in the fourth but couldn’t close out the home team.

CALGARY, AB – Third-year guard Sarah Allison (South Surrey, BC) scored 13 of her game-high 16 points in the second half for the UBC Okanagan Heat women’s basketball team, spoiling Mount Royal’s home opener Thursday evening in an 80-73 win over the Cougars on Kenyon Court.
UBC Okanagan, after the win tonight, improves to 1-2 while Mount Royal remains winless on the season and holds a record of 0-3.
