The UBC Okanagan women’s basketball team will open their season at home against an opponent they haven’t seen since the 2013/14 season in the Trinity Western Spartans. Game times are Friday 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 p.m.

The Heat fall to the WolfPack (70-60) sending the Presidents Cup to Kamloops for the year. 10 wins is the most ever by UBC Okanagan women’s basketball since joining Canada West in 2011.

The Heat lose in Kamloops (78-61) to distinguish the Heat’s hope of making the post season. They close out the season tomorrow on the road at 5 p.m. versus the WolfPack.

The Heat women’s basketball team need to win both games on the final weekend in Kamloops versus TRU and need to have UFV lose both this weekend to make post season. Friday night 6 p.m. tip-off and rematch on Saturday at 5 p.m.

In a game full of playoff implications the Heat went cold and fell to the visiting Griffins by 20 (68-48). The rematch gets underway tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The Fraser Valley Cascades ran away from the Heat on Saturday night in Kelowna. UFV handed UBCO only their second loss of the season on their home court.

Six threes on KidSport night not enough offence for UBCO as the Heat fall (65-50) to UFV. With the win the Cascades move one game closer to the Heat in the standings. Rematch tomorrow at 5 p.m.

Holding down third place the Heat will defend their home court against the Cascades this weekend. Tip-off on Friday night is at 6 p.m. and is the annual KidSport game. The rematch is set to tip-off on Saturday at 5 p.m.
