PREVIEW: Basketball begins this Friday for the Heat

The UBC Okanagan women's basketball team will open their season at home against an opponent they haven't seen since the 2013/14 season in the Trinity Western Spartans. Game times are Friday 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 p.m.

The Heat fall to the WolfPack (70-60) sending the Presidents Cup to Kamloops for the year. 10 wins is the most ever by UBC Okanagan women's basketball since joining Canada West in 2011.

Holding down third place the Heat will defend their home court against the Cascades this weekend. Tip-off on Friday night is at 6 p.m. and is the annual KidSport game. The rematch is set to tip-off on Saturday at 5 p.m.
