Congratulations go to Dean of Education Lynn Bosetti, who was presented with the Halvar Jonson Award by the Association of Alberta Public Charter Schools (TAAPCS) in October.
The Halvar Jonson Award recognizes and thanks those who have given their time, energy, influence and expertise to enhancing the success of charter schools in Alberta. Dean Bosetti was one of four individuals presented with the award at TAAPCS' Annual General Meeting on October 19 in Calgary.
Bosetti was chosen for efforts as a distinguished scholar whose work demonstrates the value of choice (and of charter schools) in education. Her numerous publications and presentations on these topics have influenced public policy design over the past 15 years in Alberta.
Beyond her scholarly work, Bosetti was chosen because of work with a small group of individuals to charter a school for girls. Through her assistance the Calgary Girls' Charter School came into being.
