Force Field – 77 Women Poets of British Columbia, gathers together 77 women poets who currently live and write in BC. It is a strong celebration of women's poetry, from emerging and mid-career to established writers. In this special Okanagan reading from the collection, seven of the 77 poets will read – Michelle Barker from Penticton, Heidi Garnett, Karen Hofmann from Kamloops, Sandra Lynxleg and Laisha Rosnau from Vernon and UBC poets Sharon Thesen from Lake Country and Sonnet L’Abbé from Kelowna.
The reading takes place Monday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. (doors at 7) at Gallery Vertigo, upstairs at 3001 31st St., Vernon.
Admission is open to the public with a suggested donation of $3 to support the gallery. Vertigo Voices is a joint presentation of Okanagan College, Gallery Vertigo, and UBC’s Okanagan campus.
