Weekly Recap

The 2010 Olympic Games are wrapping up, and Reading Week is almost over. Time for us to resume “business as usual” here at UBC… at least until the Paralympic Games begin March 12!

This week in UBC HR:

We posted the details of our MOST professional development courses in March. Our university-wide orientation will be held on March 2/10. If you’re new to UBC and didn’t register for the March 2 orientation, keep an eye on the blog for future dates.

Faculty and Staff can become members of the UBC Botanical Garden for $5/year… a great deal for unlimited visits to the Botanical Garden and the Nitobe Memorial Garden at the Point Grey campus.

Celebrate Research Week is fast approaching! UBC-V: March 5-14, and UBC-O: March 8-15.

Andrew Parr, Managing Director of Food Services, wrote about the experiences of UBC’s Food Service staff at Thunderbird Arena during the 2010 Olympic Games.

Stay tuned for upcoming details for the Paralympics at UBC!
