Now thanks to $1.5M in new funding for UBC’s Okanagan campus, researchers are pushing the practice to new limits by creating a high-tech body armour solution with multiple layers of protection against diverse threats.

The Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, on Tuesday announced funding of $3.801 million to establish the Survive and Thrive Applied Research (STAR) facility at UBC’s Okanagan campus in Kelowna.
