The main stairway from the central courtyard down to the bus shelter and Alumni Avenue will be closed for renovation during the month of May. Work on the project began on Monday, May 2.
A pedestrian detour route through the Administration building has been clearly marked.
The concrete steps have deteriorated since they were originally poured in 1993 and will be replaced with new concrete. Facilities Management will also be upgrading landscape plantings around the stairway. The work was scheduled to take advantage of a brief window between the end of the winter term and the beginning of the summer conference and accommodations season on campus.
