Renovations started on the first floor of the library on Monday and when completed in August will feature a number of significant changes to the Learning Commons and the general operation of the library.
The project will be carried out in phases and library staff are working to minimize the impact that this has on patrons. Highlights of the renovations will include:
- A single service point that combines Circulation and Reference.
- More seats
- An Additional quiet reading room similar to the Field Reading Room
- Additional group study rooms
- Self-service checkout
- Self-service holds and reserves
