Learning Services librarian Sarah Stang has been appointed Chair of this year’s Okanagan campus United Way campaign.
Stang was a member of last year’s campaign which was nominated for Campaign of the Year from the United Way of the Central and South Okanagan/Similkameen. This follows a number of successful previous campaigns that have raised over $300,000 for the United Way since 2005.
As Chair, Stang will be responsible for spearheading the campaign by coordinating a series of events, managing the on-campus committee, and meeting with campus partners to encourage donations.
The United Way helps Canadians transition out of poverty, creates strong communities and improves access to health-related services, and supports childhood development. To find out more, visit the Okanagan campus United Way campaign website.
