What makes a healthy university community? A major campus-wide research project recently asked the campus community that question and on November 22, the results will be shared.
The VOICE 2012 project involved more than 100 students as co-researchers, working with faculty and staff to explore ways to create, renew and sustain health-promoting change on campus.
The November 22 forum will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fipke Centre foyer and feature:
- A student-led photo exhibit highlighting student experiences on campus.
- Results from the community dialogue survey.
- A summary of health-related policies at UBC’s Okanagan campus and other North American universities.
- Mapping of the campus community.
The forum will also set the stage for the next action-oriented phase of the VOICE project. Students and non-students will partner to create change on the health interests identified by the study.
