The Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention presents an information symposium on optimizing residential care for older adults in its Aging and Wellness series.
The symposium’s goal is to share the outcomes of research conducted in the Okanagan region and discuss implications for improving care for older adults in residential care.
Highlights will include:
- Plenary presentations by research teams conducting nationally funded, inter-provincial studies in the Okanagan;
- Discussion of practice and policy implications of the latest findings by research team members working in the Okanagan region;
- Topics include transitions in care, quality improvement in residential care, palliative care, and supporting evidence-based practice.
