Students at UBC’s Okanagan campus now have direct access to an Ombuds officer. The office is an independent, impartial, and confidential resource that supports students in their relationships with the university.
The Ombuds Office advances systemic improvements and is an advocate for fairness.
The new officer appointed to the Okanagan campus, Maria Mazzotta, has been hired to help students with on-campus issues like:
- Academics
- Housing and other services
- Appeals and reviews
- Interpersonal concerns
- Communication strategies
- Policies and procedures
- Misconduct issues
The new Ombuds Office is located in room UNC227B.
