It was 24 years ago when an armed man entered l’Ecole Polytechnique in Montréal, separated the female engineering students from the men, and opened fire. On that solemn December day, Marc Lépine murdered 14 women—12 engineering students, one nursing student, and a university employee. He injured another 10 women and four men before killing himself.
