UBC’s Board of Governors has recently approved a name change for the former Mountain Weather Office to Upper Campus Health Building. Other approved names include:
- The Commons, a new name for the Teaching and Learning Centre project.
- Upper Campus Way, the new road connecting campus with John Hindle Drive to the west.
- Two new housing projects have been approved. The Nechako residence between UNC and the Commons Field, which will feature a 500-seat dining hall and four storeys of residences, and the Skeena residence, to be built adjacent to the Purcell residence.
The new names will be added to campus wayfinding and the online campus map over the summer.
