UBC will be conducting their campus-wide semi-annual water main flushing this week, from October 16 to 18. Flushing of water mains normally occurs between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
During any water main flushing, there is the potential for increased turbidity. Water may appear more coloured or have more sediment than usual. Be cautious using water at this time, especially with food and beverages.
Should water be more coloured or turbid, run the tap until the water is clear. Campus residents may also wish to avoid doing laundry during these times.
Drinking water is available from filtered water kiosks in every major building on campus. (See locations)
