Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to inform you that Dr. Gino DiLabio has accepted an extension as Dean pro tem of the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. DiLabio’s initial pro tem appointment will conclude June 30, 2020; the extended term will begin July 1 2020, and end no later than December 31, 2020.
As you know, as of July 1, 2020, the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science, will emerge as separate Faculties. The university is currently actively engaged in the recruitment of the inaugural Deans and I am very grateful to the faculty, students and staff of the Faculty who are participating in these searches.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. DiLabio for his leadership of the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences and for his willingness to continue to lead the faculty through this transition during this very difficult time.
