The Amazing Race Wellness Challenge gets underway next week, and race organizers are putting out one last call to the campus community to get registered as soon as possible.
The race — a campus-wide five-week marathon of health challenges — involves teams of at least three people collecting points by competing and collecting points for healthy lifestyle choices.
The team with the most points at the end of the competition in December will be declared champion and receive the grand prize — a choice of a Nintendo Wii, two massage chairs or a $400 catered lunch). Participants will also be eligible for weekly draw prizes.
Collecting points is simple — team members document individual healthy lifestyle choices they’ve made during the challenge that fit under one of the five dimensions of wellness: physical activity, nutrition, intellectual, psychological and social/community health.
Healthy lifestyle choices can be anything from eating a nutritious breakfast to sorting out personal finances.
The challenge begins on Monday, Nov. 8. To sign up a team contact a “Challenge Rep”
