The deadline for nomination packages is fast approaching for a pair of prestigious research awards. Members of the campus community still have until next week, however, to nominate someone great for the Award for Excellence in Research and/or Creative Scholarly Activity and the Provost’s Award for Public Education through Media.
The Excellence in Research award recognizes a faculty member who has made a significant contribution to research during their appointment. The award consists of a $5,000 cash prize and is presented annually during the Celebrate Research Week Gala.
The Provost’s Award for Public Education through Media recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding service to the university and the community by actively and creatively sharing research expertise via the news media.
Faculty members, deans, unit heads, alumni and students are all invited to submit nominations for either award.
