More than 150 people joined the first annual Traditions of Christmas Family Fun Day hosted by IT, Media and Classroom Services in support of the United Way, on Saturday, Dec. 11. This special event was designed for families of employees, students and friends of UBC to enjoy a variety of holiday traditions.
The event included Glenmore Elementary students performing “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” carol-singing hay rides behind an antique tractor, cookie decorating, colouring and ornament making centres for the kids, hot apple cider, hot chocolates and homemade treats.
Locals artisans and entertainers were on hand to make the day that much more special — and of course kids got to sit on Santa’s knee (played by the managers from IT, Media and Classroom Services).
