The campus community is to participate in a new workplace wellness program called Alive!
Alive! is being offered at no charge as part of a Be Well at Work study, organized UBC School of Population and Public Health and Canadian Cancer Society, to understand how new wellness programs in the workplace help employees adopt healthier lifestyles.
Alive! is designed to help you improve diet and physical activity by making gradual changes. The program suggests small weekly goals that are tailored to participants current eating and physical activity habits and preferences.
The deadline to enroll in the new Alive! program is Tuesday, Mar. 8.
To get started:
- Go to the Be Well at Work website and take the assessment: http://Okanagan.bewellatwork.ubc.ca
- Receive instant feedback about current personal intake of fruits and vegetables and activity levels.
- Sign up to participate in the Alive! program and complete the second assessment.
- Print the certificate of completion on the Thank You page of the assessment and take it to Fipke Foyer on February 22, or March 1, to receive a free stainless steel water bottle.
