Online Central Booking Office now available to campus community

July 5, 2011

Requests for room bookings, special function space, outdoor spaces and certain boardrooms can now be requested online. The new online Centralized Booking Office (CBO) was launched on June 30, for non-academic ad hoc meetings and events.

Space is limited on campus. Academic scheduling is a priority, and once the schedule is set, requests for ad hoc events can be organized. The CBO was created to help internal and external groups book space for events in the most efficient way possible.

The CBO website also contains all the information and resources required to host an on-campus event. Access details, download event forms, and learn more about who can book space, as well as what the booking priorities and space options are on campus. The CBO also highlights a number of informal learning spaces that do not require booking — all great resources for students.

To get started, visit www.ubc.ca/okanagan/roombookings and follow the ‘BOOK NOW’ links. The Central Booking Office can also be contacted via email at cbo.okanagan@ubc.ca.
