Members of the campus community have until October 31 to apply to the Equity Enhancement Fund — a program established to help provide funding for new initiatives designed to enhance equity on campus.
In 2010 and 2011 the fund provided a total of $14,400 to the following Okanagan campus initiatives:
- Disability Resource Centre: Access and Ability Through the Arts program
- School of Social Work: Diversity, Intercultural Communication and Cultural Safety module for practicum field placement
- School of Engineering: Women in Engineering program
The guidelines for the fund can be viewed on the Equity Enhancement Fund Guidelines website. The funding is available to any academic or administrative unit with the endorsement of the unit or department head.
