Compelling speakers will offer free advice at Oct. 19 event
Small business operators or those thinking of starting a business can get some free expert advice at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus.
The Small Business Accelerator (SBA), an initiative of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, will celebrate Small Business Week by hosting three dynamic speakers Oct. 19.
‘Small Business, Smart Business” will feature Scott Coleman, management student at UBC’s Okanagan campus and co-founder of FunCore Strength and Conditioning; Norine Webster, Adjunct Instructor, Faculty of Management and Laurel Douglas, CEO of the Women’s Enterprise Centre.
The function will be held in the atrium (room 186) of the Arts Building on the campus located 10 minutes north of Kelowna off Highway 97 and runs from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with a networking reception to follow.
The event is free to the public, but seating is limited. Participants are encouraged to RSVP to the SBA by Oct, 17 at www.sba-bc.ca/biztalkOkanagan.
