Members of the Student Library Advisory Council enjoy the new study spaces after the most recent renovations. Left to right: Cherry Wang, Sarah Ulicny, Tanya Chartrand, Jesse Bryden, Kyla de Jong,Katrina Labun.

With the first phase of the current library renovations finished, study space has been increased for students at UBC’s Okanagan campus.

The first phase of the library renovation project included moving staff offices and the library mailroom to the second and third floors. Rooms LIB 113 and 115 were then converted to student study space.

The Student Library Advisory Council hosted a launch party on November 10 to introduce the new space to the campus community. Upcoming renovations will see more student space opened on the first floor and the creation of a central service desk.

To find out more about the library renovation process, contact Sarah Stang, Learning Commons librarian, at 250-807-9606.
