Fourth-year nursing students who are heading to Ghana and Zambia this January for their practicums have organized an International Gala on November 26 with the on-campus Global Nursing Citizens club.
Students organizers hope to raise more than $20,000 to help provide supplies and equipment while in Africa.
The gala begins at 7 p.m. in the Parkinson Recreation Centre (1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna). It will include a three-course meal, live entertainment, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets are $40 each or $300 for a table of eight.
