Community Engagement Office now operational

May 16, 2012

The Okanagan campus’ Community Engagement Office is now operational. Its overall focus is to put more UBC in the external communities and more external communities into UBC. Community Engagement Strategist Suann Brown will direct her energies to four high-priority areas:

  • Being a point of contact and entry for the community
  • Increasing community interest in connections to UBC
  • Providing support and resources (internally and externally)
  • Measuring the impact of UBC community engagement activities

The Community Engagement Office is a central place for employees to refer community members who are new to UBC and want to find out more. It is also a resource for employees who need event planning advice, equipment loans, and advertising options for UBC events which are open to the public.

To learn more about the Community Engagement Office, contact
Suann Brown at 250-807-9950 (office), or 250-575-2451 (mobile).
