Preservation Farm and Research Initiative (PFRI) is back for another season — watch for them on campus this summer. This group of hard-working students and faculty from UBC’s Okanagan campus is passionate about fresh produce, and committed to educating the community about the benefits of naturally grown, pesticide-free produce, promoting wellness and health in the Kelowna area, and exploring related avenues of research.
Preservation Farm cares about environmental sustainability. No chemical pesticides are used, ensuring PFRI vegetables and herbs taste delicious while keeping our bodies, our rivers and our lakes clean and safe. The group will have a weekly table to sell fresh produce, and will also be traveling door-to-door around the campus to introduce themselves.
Contact PFRI at preservationfarm@gmail.com if you have questions or to purchase produce throughout the summer.
