A new design for the UBCcard is now in circulation on campus.
The new design applies to all faculty, staff and student ID cards. While no change has been made to the functionality of the card from previous versions, the new design is consistent with the cards currently in circulation on the Vancouver campus.
The new Okanagan cards can be distinguished from the Vancouver cards by the green stripe that carries the classification (undergraduate, graduate, faculty, staff).
Faculty and staff are eligible to exchange their current UBCcards for the new design at no cost, but these exchanges will not be accepted from August 27 to September 15 due to the high volume of activity experienced by front desk staff at the beginning of the academic year.
Faculty and staff looking to obtain a new UBCcard can visit the Student Services Front Desk in the University Centre building of UNC. Front desk hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (until Aug. 31)
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (starting Sept. 1)
All new student cards will be printed under the new design. Students wishing to replace their card with the new design will be subject to a $25 replacement fee.
