Engineering prof publishes new handbook of seismic risk analysis

Handbook of seismic risk analysis and management of civil infrastructure systemsEarthquakes represent a major risk to buildings, bridges and other civil infrastructure systems, causing catastrophic loss to modern society.

In a new publication, Assoc. Prof. of Engineering Solomon Tesfamariam has co-edited a series of articles that look at the assessment of seismic risks to buildings, bridges, water supply systems and other aspects of civil infrastructure.

This new Handbook of seismic risk analysis and management of civil infrastructure systems reviews the latest research into the risk analysis and management of civil infrastructure systems, modern earthquake design code provisions and practices as well as ground motion and hazard assessments and methodologies.

It also provides a comprehensive overview of seismic risk analysis for researchers and engineers within these fields.
