Open photo session organized for August 29

August 19, 2013

Your research could make national headlines — and you really shouldn’t supply the media with that blurry, slightly awkward Facebook photo. You know the one.

For faculty members who need a better portrait for a UBC website, news story, research profile, or brochure, take advantage of University Relations’ open portrait photo session on August 29.

At no cost, faculty and staff can look their professional best with this straightforward photo-op in the Aboriginal Centre, located on the second floor in the east wing of the UNC building (UNC 211). Each portrait only takes about 1 to 2 minutes.

(Recommended: Just look friendly and casual but professional, so please dress accordingly. Not recommended: T-shirts, bare shoulders, and plunging necklines.)

Photos will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. during the Faculty & Staff Orientation Fair. Drop in at your leisure, or email Anne Laird in University Relations to book a specific time: anne.laird@ubc.ca

Afterwards, a high-resolution JPG will be emailed to all faculty and staff members who have their photo taken.

Access the Aboriginal Centre from the outdoor Faculty & Staff Orientation Fair via this ground-level door:
