Faculty Connections Club invites new faculty members to get social in October

August 29, 2013

New to UBC’s Okanagan campus? New to the Okanagan? Interested in meeting new colleagues?

A Faculty Connections Club is being developed for the campus academic community to bring together like-minded academics to help transition anyone new to the region and the university.

The Faculty Connections Club will meet once a month to socialize and promote academic collaborations, stimulate intellectual conversations, share teaching experiences and form friendships.

Anyone interested in participating in the Faculty Connections Club is invited to participate in the upcoming inaugural wine and cheese event on October 17 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Administration building faculty and staff lounge, room ADM115.

To RSVP for this inaugural event, visit the Faculty Connections Club Facebook group and follow the instructions.

To find out more, contact Ying Zhu, assistant professor of management, at 250-807-9836. Or follow @FCCUBCO on Twitter.
